Tickets are included in the registration fee for the Annual Meeting. Additional tickets can be purchased during the registration process.

Join us in welcoming colleagues and friends from around the world in contemporary and sophisticated luxury while taking in captivating views of the Pacific Ocean and Rocky Mountains. Canapés and light refreshments are available.

The venue is a short, very scenic, beautiful walk from the Westin Bayshore Hotel however there will be a bus to shuttle those that prefer not to walk.

The buses will leave from the Westin Bayshore Hotel starting at 18:30.

Due to security regulations, attendees are not allowed to bring large bags or luggage to the Welcome Reception, please deposit your bags at the hotel first.

Please note, Welcome Reception attendees are responsible for their own return transport.

Join us high above the city for an unforgettable evening at Grouse Mountain Resort, Vancouver’s most popular attraction. After a short shuttle ride from the Westin Bayshore, you’ll soar up the mountain on the Skyride, the largest aerial tramway system in North America. Travel high above towering Douglas fir trees, enjoying breathtaking views of the city of Vancouver, the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf Islands, and snowy peaks. At the top, you’ll be welcomed by an Elder from the Squamish Nation and dancers in traditional dress. Meet grizzly bears Grinder and Coola, two of the most popular residents of the Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife. Learn about owls and raptors from on-site rangers. Enjoy a buffet dinner featuring sustainable West Coast cuisine in the Peak Chalet. Wrap up the evening with music and dancing with Vancouver’s city lights twinkling below. Truly a night to remember.


Getting there 

Shuttles depart from the front of the Westin Bayshore starting at 6:30 p.m. You must have your dinner ticket with you in order to board the shuttle.


A six-minute trip that carries you 2,800 feet up the mountain from the lower terminal to the Peak Chalet. Each car holds 90 people. N.B. You will receive your Skyride                                                      ticket you exit the shuttle.


Shuttles will make return trips to the Westin Bayshore regularly from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Last Skyride down the mountain leaves the summit at 12:45 a.m. Last shuttle                                           to the Westin Bayshore leaves at 1:00 a.m.

Dress Code 

Business casual. Complimentary coat check available. If you plan to visit the Grizzly Habitat, flat shoes are recommended.


Your ticket includes two drink tickets for the reception and complimentary wine with dinner. A cash bar is also available.


Because Grouse Mountain is an environmental protected area, smoking is not permitted.
